Fallout 4

I liked the Fallout 3 mechanics. The only thing that disappointed me was the level cap. Hopefully they’ve fixed that, or will fix that, before releasing the game.

Get longer email addresses using mailinator

If you just go to http://www.mailinator.com and type in an address so you can check its mailbox, you’ll notice there’s a limit on the number of characters you can use. I like using this service to vent my frustration with stupid services that require hoop jumping.

Looping over a range in bash

I don’t know why I always forget how to do ranges, but I do. I guess it has something to do with the fact that I don’t expect it to be like C at all, and I don’t need to use it often enough to remember.

Bazaar, GIT, Mercurial, Subversion battle royale!

There’s so many version control projects out there for software development, but which one is the best? In the last week or so i’ve run into 3 or 4 sites/blogs for software apps that either mentioned that they’ve changed over to a new DVCS or they …

How to Delete Accounts from Any Website, guaranteed!

I got a good laugh out of this… I think I know a much simpler method, ok not the greatest, but still just as effective since you have no idea if they’ll keep storing your information long after they’ve ‘deleted’ your account. It’s streamlined so you can go through the same steps on most of the sites you have an account on. No need to click three times, or send an email with some exact string in the subject line while waiting for a reply and then confirming, after stating your reasons.

Random conversations with strangers through Project Upstream

Have you ever received an instant message from a stranger with the words Coho, Trout, or Salmon in their screen name? If the answer is yes, then you’ve been picked up by Project Upstream bot. Did you dig the hook in deep by starting a conversation…or perhaps an argument? I have run into a few Coho’s so far and they’re usually good for interesting conversation.

SheevaPlug $100 Linux wall-wart

I read this article and my mind started churning away, thinking up new ideas for home networking appliances that I could create and sell, but then I ran into this part and started scratching my head because something just didn’t sound right immediately.

One deal at a time sites, old crap or good deals?

There’s a bunch of woot-like sites owned by Liberty Media Corp, or atleast they’re owned by one of the many companies that Liberty owns. I do like Backcountry.com (which is a great ski/snow/skate/outdoor/kayak/etc. store). But then they have these one-deal-at-a-time sites like whiskeymilitia.com

My product reviews on Amazon

Weeks and weeks after throwing away the boxes that my stuff arrived in, I got the email from amazon asking me to review my recently purchased crap. So I just got done reviewing a couple of things I bought; a cpu heatsink, ethernet over power (a.k.a. powerline) adapters, and a saitek backlit keyboard on amazon. The email asked me to write a review of x, y, and z. But then after my first review I noticed …
