How to Delete Accounts from Any Website, guaranteed!

This website was dugg the other day for an article detailing how to jump through the various hoops necessary to delete your accounts for 23 different services.

I got a good laugh out of this… I think I know a much simpler method, ok not the greatest, but still just as effective since you have no idea if they’ll keep storing your information long after they’ve ‘deleted’ your account. It’s streamlined so you can go through the same steps on most of the sites you have an account on. No need to click three times, or send an email with some exact string in the subject line while waiting for a reply and then confirming, after stating your reasons. The sites they give instructions for are just the typical social networking sites like facebook, linkedin, etc.

Here’s my 2-step method

Step 1.

Step 2.

Post pictures, videos, or other copyrighted material, accompanied by descriptive bad words. If it’s a forum, post many times to the same thread and Hijack all the threads on the front page.

Thats it. Now isn’t that much easier than tip-toeing through links and emails? My method is sure to take effect as soon as possible. It’s like yelling “customer service” over and over on an automated phone system to get to a real person. I don’t suggest using my method on sites like usajobs.opm.gov or your state’s dmv. But for the random car enthusiast, botanist, or art lover forum this works just fine for me.
