Who would have thought that the woman who the Republican Party tried to pass off as a VP candidate just over a year ago is now going to make Fox News more “fair and balanced”. But just as I predicted, Sarah Palin is now a paid pundit on Fox News.
Yes, I admit I tune into Fox for entertainment and a good laugh sometimes. And I do admire Sarah Palin for her skillful manoeuvring, self-promotion, and hunting and fishing skills. But the idea that she’s coming to Fox News to share her thoughtful, insightful opinions, ideas and solutions on the critical challenges facing the USA in this new decade is a bit disturbing.
Don’t be overly concerned. They hired Sarah to cover inspirational stories of regular American people not cover politics or world events. After all, just 13 months ago she had difficulty comprehending why there were two countries called Korea, or that Saddam Hussein really wasn’t behind 9-11. Not to say that stories of the challenges of regular American people aren’t interesting or inspirational. They are, and perhaps it is God’s plan for her to share these inspirational stories.
It’s all about the ratings. Fox hired her to push their ratings to make $$$. Although she didn’t swear an oath to represent me, it really is too bad she she never knuckled down and completed her commitment to the Alaskans who elected her. Was it really God’s plan for her to quit those people who elected her to instead become a celebrity, or is this an indication of the mess the USA is currently in? Should we look to celebrities not elected politicians to get this county back on track?

How can we keep this fresh and just for regular people. How can we discourage contributors who have a financial investment in their “angle”. You know what I mean, like those people who pass themselves off as “grass roots” Tea Party folks, when in fact a lot of them are actually running for-profit companies, like the so called “Tea Party National Convention” next month, tickets for which cost $569 each. Facts are a lot of those folks are die hard Republicans who are trying to hijack the Tea Party movement.
