ARM is greater than Intel for power consumption vs performance. ARM processors will win the tablet/laptop war in the long run. There, I said it.
Why Intel Will Be a Mobile Loser
When you compare Intel’s Atom to ARM’s Corex-A9, the rather large gap between these two appears crystal clear. ARM is 1/3 as large as Atom yet uses between 1/5th and 1/6th the power.
Minor shortcomings in ARM performance compared to Intel Atom, however slight, are supplemented by DSP enhancements handling math calculations.
Toshiba debuts ultraslim Android laptop
Unless they make some serious pitfalls, ARM should have a serious stranglehold on the future of tablet PC’s and other mobile devices.
